Solvent 406
Solvent 406 falls under the category of solvents characterized by a special boiling point (SBP) and exhibits properties akin to those of solvent 404, with the distinction that it contains a maximum aromatic volume of 7%.
This solvent is employed in a variety of applications, including paint thinners, varnishes, and printing inks; it serves as one of the components in the synthesis of rubber tires; as a solvent for adhesives and resins; and in the chemical, cosmetic, and food industries.
Currently, in response to the specific requests of our esteemed clients, the composition of normal hexane in solvent 406 is meticulously regulated to constitute between 40% and 45% by volume, while the concentration of cyclohexane is maintained below 8% by volume.
